Understanding the Trauma of Sexual Abuse


The goal of this course is to provide an in-depth (8 evening) study of the topic of sexual abuse, including theory, research, and treatment issues. The course is intended for professionals who work with, or wish to work with, clients who have experienced the trauma of sexual abuse. A combination of lectures, videos and discussions led by Dr. Saxe will be used. Questions and discussion by course participants will be welcome.

Participants are encouraged to present their own client material in class discussions. All case material will be anonymous and strict confidentiality will be observed.
